How long can I work with a broken calf?

The time to be able to work or work with a fractured calf usually depends on the nature of the work and the healing of the fracture. If the nature of the work is mainly sitting in the office, you can usually sit in the office and do some upper limb work in a month to a month and a half after the fracture of the lower leg has been treated regularly and the local swelling and pain are completely stabilized. However, if you are using your lower limbs to walk, or to carry or lift things, it is recommended that you wait three to six months after the fracture for the bones to completely heal and for the limb’s function to return to normal before you can go to work. Because neither the strength of the limbs nor the joints of the lower limbs have returned to normal, it will naturally affect walking and even lifting and carrying things.
