MIPPO technique for fractures of the extremities

MIPPO technique refers to minimally invasive percutaneous plate bone bridging, which uses several small 2-3M incisions in the proximal and distal ends of the fracture on the limb to place the plate and close and reset the fracture, achieving rapid healing of the fracture. At present, the development of orthopedic trauma treatment is changing rapidly, from the traditional incision and repositioning to the current minimally invasive surgery, which not only makes the skin of the limb not leave more obvious scars, but also greatly reduces the patient’s pain, speeds up the fracture healing, reduces the occurrence of bone discontinuity, and indirectly reduces the economic burden of patients, with obvious advantages. Our department has widely carried out this kind of surgery, which is well received by patients and their families.
