What are the key points of emergency repair of auricular disarticulation injury?

The auricle is rich in blood flow, but the blood vessels are relatively thin. In acute injury to the auricle, if there is some tissue attached to the scalp, most of the auricle can be healed by in situ suturing. However, if the auricle is completely disconnected, the chances of in situ suture survival are very small, and even if it is, it will contract and affect the shape of the auricle. Microsurgical suturing is also difficult to achieve success because of the slender blood vessels. In this case, a plastic surgery method is needed to repair the auricular defect by using the isolated auricular cartilage. Without timely and correct treatment, a partial defect of the auricle can be caused, pending a later repair, at least 3 months later.   The key points of acute injury treatment are: 1. timely consultation, preferably within 12 hours of the injury; 2. the isolated auricular tissue is relatively intact and not severely contaminated; and 3. the vital signs are stable and there is no damage to life-affecting organs. The advantage of emergency treatment is that it avoids the pain and trauma of excision of rib cartilage for later repair. The disadvantage is that the ear cartilage is slightly undersupported and has an effect on the shape of the ear.
