Treatment of bladder tumors

Advanced treatment of bladder tumors can currently be divided into three main categories: 1) minimally invasive transurethral treatment by means of various lasers and plasma knives, which is suitable for most relatively early bladder tumors; 2) open bladder-preserving surgery, which is suitable for a few more specific bladder tumors (e.g., bladder tumors requiring ureteral reimplantation); and 3) open or laparoscopic total cystectomy: ileal or colonic instead of bladder surgery. This is broadly divided into in situ cystectomy or classic entero-abdominoplasty. Additional adjuvant treatments are included: interventional chemotherapy, systemic chemotherapy, radiation therapy. We cover all of these treatments. In particular, we have accumulated a wealth of experience in early and mid-stage patients with bladder preservation + interventional chemotherapy, which has a definite efficacy and ensures the patient’s quality of life without affecting the survival rate.
