Some tips for cervical discomfort

  Not all patients with cervical disc herniation require surgical treatment. Cervical spondylosis is only diagnosed when a patient has clinical symptoms of the neck and has imaging changes. A subset of patients can have a very severe cervical disc herniation, but will not experience any symptoms for the rest of their lives. Most ambulatory workers who experience cervical discomfort, many of which are cervical muscle strain and myofasciitis, should be seen in the hospital as soon as possible for appropriate treatment and attention to usual posture
