Canker sores is the name of the disease in Chinese medicine. The Western medical name for the disease is also the usual acute appendicitis. The main symptom is metastatic right lower abdominal pain. Some patients may start with pain in the lower right abdomen, while others may start with pain in the upper abdomen or the whole stomach, which slowly shifts to the lower right abdomen, and can be accompanied by routine blood tests and ultrasound examination of the appendix. Surgery is the first choice for treatment. The best time to do surgery is within three days of the onset of the disease, but if it is delayed for a long time, the edema around the appendix will make surgery more troublesome. If you don’t want to have surgery, you can also choose conservative treatment with anti-inflammatory drugs and blood-boosting drugs, and it is recommended to treat with Chinese herbs, the most common ones are rhubarb and peony peel soup. The specific drugs used will have to be determined on a case-by-case basis.
