Fracture of the fibular tuberosity is a more serious fracture. The fibular tuberosity is a component bone near the knee joint, which causes fracture of the fibular tuberosity usually due to the high stress of knee valgus, causing the stress of the fibular tuberosity to exceed the strength of the fibula. The mechanism of injury may be combined with fractures of the lateral collateral ligament, joint capsule, meniscus or medial plateau of the knee, so fractures of the fibular tuberosity should be taken seriously and should not be taken lightly. In addition to routine X-rays, an MRI should be performed to rule out damage to the knee related structures.
