Postoperative treatment and care points 1.Systemic application of antibiotics, glucocorticoids, mucus promoters, antihistamines, etc. should be applied during postoperative hospitalization. 2. 24 to 48 hours after surgery, nasal swelling and discomfort may be caused by filling the nasal cavity with hemostatic sponges or gauze, so cold nasal compresses, half-lying, elevated head position, etc. can be applied to relieve the symptoms. 3, 24 to 48 hours after the surgery, the nasal cavity may have a small amount of oozing blood or reactive mucosal swelling and increased exudation within 2 days after the withdrawal of nasal stuffing, at this time, decongestants, intranasal glucocorticoids can be sprayed into the nasal cavity twice a day, and appropriate amount of saline or antibiotic eye drops can be used for symptomatic treatment. 4. After 2 days after surgery, the nasal exudation is reduced and tends to dry and crust, at this time, the use of decongestants should be reduced or stopped, and nasal drops of oil-based lubricants should be applied appropriately. Start nasal saline or hypertonic saline rinsing or nasal nebulizer inhalation, and continue to apply intranasal glucocorticoids. 5.After 1 week of postoperative discharge, nasal rinsing should be insisted for 1-3 months, intranasal application of glucocorticoid spray for 3-6 months, oral glucocorticoid (prednisone tablet 4-8 tablets once daily in the early morning for a single dose) for 1 week, and oral mucus pro-discharge for 2-4 weeks. 6. 2 weeks after surgery, you can choose the appropriate time for nasal endoscopic review follow-up according to the doctor’s prescription, and you should bring your medical records, sinus CT films and labs when you come to the hospital.
