What do I need to know about my diet for breast cancer?

Scientists believe that the state of estrogen in a woman’s body at an early age may be the root cause of the development of breast cancer at menopause or in old age, so women are advised to choose a diet that prevents excessive estrogenic state from an early age as much as possible to prevent it before it happens. Even if you have breast cancer, if you choose a proper diet, you can improve your prognosis. This is because high estrogen levels can stimulate breast cells to proliferate and induce cancer. Scientists have pointed out after a lot of research that the following foods can prevent the risk of breast cancer
  1. Soybean products.
Every 20 grams of soy contains 20 mg of phytoestrogens, which can “compete” with estrogen in the body to bind with estrogen receptors, thus blocking or weakening the effects of estrogen. Animal studies have found that animals fed a diet high in soy have a 65% lower incidence of breast cancer than those on an average diet. A survey in Singapore also found that women who ate twice as much soy as the average person had only half the risk of developing breast cancer. People who eat soybeans and soy products regularly have genistein compounds in their urine, which can inhibit the growth of tumor blood supply microvessels and cut off the source of nutrition for tumors, preventing the spread of cancer cells. Drinking a glass of soy milk or eating about 100 grams of tofu every day has a certain effect on preventing breast cancer.
  2. Dates.
Dates can inhibit the formation of breast cancer cells. This is because jujube contains a lot of cyclic adenosine monophosphate and rich vitamins that can enhance the immune function of the body.
  3.Garlic.
The Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute in New York, USA found that garlic can not only prevent breast cancer, but even treat it. This is because garlic is rich in an odorless substance called “to Rick”, which has a significant inhibitory and killing effect on the formation of breast cancer cells, and can also activate and enhance the body’s immune system, and by promoting the growth of normal cells to eliminate cancer cells.
  4.Whole wheat.
Whole wheat containing wheat germ, wheat bran and bran can reduce the level of estrogen in the blood circulation. Eating wheat bran and sugar 30 grams per day for 2 months can reduce the level of estradiol in women’s blood by 17%, and the elevated level of estradiol is closely related to the occurrence of breast cancer, so whole wheat has a preventive effect on breast cancer.
  5. Vegetables.
Vegetables such as cauliflower, fennel, spinach, winter squash, chard, carrots and tomatoes can significantly reduce the incidence of breast cancer in premenopausal women, mainly because of the large amount of carotenoids contained in these vegetables
This is mainly because of the large amount of carotenoids in these vegetables, which have the effect of inhibiting and killing cancer cells. Cruciferous vegetables: cabbage, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, radish, etc. contain indole chemicals that promote the metabolism and clearance of estrogen in the body. Cabbage can speed up the metabolic inactivation of estrogen by 50%, thus causing a natural decrease in excessive estrogen levels in the blood. The above vegetables are more effective in cancer prevention when cooked slightly or eaten raw. It is worth mentioning that green cauliflower (also known as broccoli) contains carotenoid sulfur, which can stimulate human cells to produce anti-cancer enzymes.
  6. Vegetable oil.
Since peanut oil, corn oil, canola oil and soybean oil contain a large amount of unsaturated fatty acids, which have the effect of protecting premenopausal women from breast cancer, experts suggest that women should consciously consume more vegetable oils in general.
  7.Seafood.
According to 27 national surveys on women’s breast cancer, women in countries with low incidence of breast cancer eat more fish and seafood every day. Professor George of Harvard University believes that fish fat can hinder the attachment of cancer cells in non-primary sites and can inhibit the metastasis of breast cancer cells. In addition, eel, trout, mahi-mahi, sardines, mackerel and tuna, which are rich in vitamin D, have been found to inhibit the growth of cancer cells.
  Should avoid.
  1. Avoid drinking alcohol: Drinking alcohol is much more harmful for women than for men. Women who drink alcohol have a higher risk of breast cancer than those who rarely drink alcohol, and those who drink one or more glasses of alcohol daily have a 45% higher risk of breast cancer than those who rarely drink alcohol, and this risk is most significant in premenopausal women.
2, less coffee: coffee, cocoa, chocolate, such foods contain a lot of caffeine, xanthine can prompt breast hyperplasia, and breast hyperplasia is related to the occurrence of breast cancer. If women, especially premenopausal women, consume too much of these foods, the risk of breast cancer will be greatly increased.
According to foreign information, propolis, honey and royaljelly have only been shown to have antibacterial, antiviral and possibly antitumor effects in laboratory studies such as cellular or mouse models, but rarely in breast cancer studies. The composition of royal jelly is quite complex, and because royal jelly contains a small amount of estrogen, it has been said that “royal jelly causes breast cancer in women”. Royal jelly does contain sex hormones, such as estradiol, testosterone and progesterone, which are human reproductive hormones. It contains 0.4167 micrograms of estradiol, 0.1082 micrograms of testosterone and 0.11666 micrograms of progesterone per 100 grams. The general daily amount of sex hormone supplementation per person is 5000-7000 micrograms, however, one kilogram of royal jelly contains 8 micrograms of hormones. According to the latest domestic research data (it is not clear whether the specific research method is formal or not), the amount of estradiol per gram of royal jelly lyophilized powder is only a few tenths of that per gram of egg, which is only equivalent to one fifth of the amount that can cause physiological effects in human body.
The functions advertised by many “royal jelly” products, such as lowering blood lipids, preventing atherosclerosis, improving immune function, preventing colds, hepatitis, and cancer, are not supported by real data from large formal studies in humans. It can be used as a health supplement, but claims that “propolis, honey, and royal jelly are used as drugs to prevent breast cancer or cause cancer” are unfounded.
