A good self-healing method for mastitis

Mastitis can be divided into lactating mastitis and non-lactating mastitis. Lactating mastitis has a certain degree of self-healing if the symptoms are mild; however, if the symptoms are non-lactating mastitis, or if the symptoms are severe lactating mastitis, it is difficult to heal on its own and usually requires treatment to improve the symptoms of mastitis. Therefore, only some lactating mastitis, there is a good self-healing method, most mastitis is difficult to self-heal, it is still recommended to actively seek medical attention to avoid improper treatment to make the condition worse. In general, women develop lactation mastitis due to bacterial infection during breastfeeding due to improper feeding and excessive milk accumulation. If the patient’s symptoms are mild, with only slight redness and pain in the nipple area, this condition suggests timely emptying of the milk to reduce the baby’s bite on the breast and timely cleaning of the nipple after breastfeeding to serve to promote recovery from mastitis and reduce the possibility of secondary infection. If there is no improvement within a short period of time, or if there is a rise in temperature, local redness, swelling and pain, it means that the condition has worsened and it is not recommended to wait for self-healing, but to go to the hospital in time for treatment. Those who have breast abscesses also need surgical drainage and regular change of medication after surgery. If a woman develops mastitis during a non-lactating period, it may be due to dilated milk ducts, nipple inversion, trauma, etc., which is difficult to heal on its own. It is recommended that systemic treatment of mastitis, such as the use of cephalosporins and penicillins to improve the symptoms of mastitis, be carried out under the guidance of a doctor after consultation, and that surgical treatment be considered if it is prolonged. If a woman suspects that she has mastitis, she should go to the hospital in time for a check-up. It is not advisable to wait for self-healing, as improper self-judgment can easily delay the condition. The most important thing is to keep your breasts hygienic, avoid touching your nipples with your hands, avoid staying up late, and try to maintain a light and nutritious diet and a happy mood, which will help to promote the recovery of mastitis.
