White pupil syndrome in children is a common clinical sign caused by a variety of eye diseases and presents as a white, yellow or pinkish-white reflection in the pupil area. It can occur in one or both eyes. The main eye diseases that cause white pupils in childhood include retinoblastoma (RB), persistent hyperplastic primary vitreous (PHPV), retinopathy of prematurity (ROP), and exudative retinopathy. prematurity (ROP), exudative retinitis (Coats disease), sclerosing endophthalmitis, astrocytic hamartoma, and congenital cataract. Because of the wide variety of causes of leukodystrophy, the nature of the lesions, and the disparity in treatment and prognosis, the diagnosis and differentiation of leukodystrophy are of great clinical importance. Imaging can be helpful in the diagnosis of this group of patients.
