Adenocarcinoma is a common pathological type of lung cancer and there is no standard answer to determine the survival period, which is an unknown quantity. It varies greatly due to the patient’s physical condition and treatment effect. Due to various reasons such as the physical condition of each cancer patient, the severity of the disease, and the later treatment effect, the length of survival varies greatly among patients with the same disease, or patients of the same age, or patients with the same physical condition. In clinical practice, the probability of survival is usually studied, like for early stage lung cancer patients, their five-year survival rate can reach more than 80%; for intermediate stage patients, their five-year survival rate is about 50%; for advanced stage patients, their five-year survival rate is about 30%. Therefore, it is actually very difficult to judge a patient’s survival. Therefore, in clinical practice, no matter what stage of tumor, active treatment should be adopted, and only with active treatment will there be hope, and it is possible to prolong patients’ lives, improve their survival quality and reduce their pain. In the usual course of work, we often meet patients’ families and ask them about the survival period of patients, which is actually very difficult to answer and there is no way to predict. Therefore, cancer patients should still focus on active treatment, and there is no way to predict the survival period.
