Dog bite more than 24 hours to inject useful

Dog bites over 24 hours old are useful for shots, but in general, it is recommended that the injured person go to the hospital for general surgery immediately after the dog bite to avoid delays. Rabies vaccination should also be administered if the dog bite is more than 24 hours old. There is no cure for rabies and the death rate is high. Currently, the rabies vaccine can greatly reduce the probability of infection by producing antibodies first. If the patient has been bitten by a dog for more than 24 hours, or even close to or more than 48 hours, the first dose should be doubled, i.e., the dose of the first rabies vaccine is twice the amount of the regular injection. To a certain extent, it is possible to avoid rabies infection. It should also be noted that the patient should treat the wound after the dog bite, rinse it with soapy water, and disinfect it with iodophor after rinsing, which can reduce the probability of being infected to some extent.
