What causes a dry cough in pneumonia

The clinical manifestations of pneumonia and dry cough may occur as a result of infection with viruses, or mycoplasma. Infections with both of the above-mentioned pathogenic bacteria are prone to irritating dry cough. When these symptoms appear, it is recommended to improve the blood routine, C-reactive protein, mycoplasma antibodies, virus antibodies and other related tests. If the patient has a viral infection, antipyretic, detoxifying or antiviral drugs such as oseltamivir, zanamivir, abirater and chloroquine can be used. If the patient has a quadruple elevation of mycoplasma antibodies, clinically consider the presence of atypical pathogenic bacteria infection, use macrolide antibiotics, or quinolone antibiotics, such as azithromycin, erythromycin, levofloxacin, moxifloxacin, etc. If the patient has a heavy cough that interferes with rest and sleep, cough suppressants may be used.
