Dry mouth caused by cervical spondylosis is characterized by dry mouth, inability to eat dry food or stimulating food, accompanied by headache or migraine, lacrimation, excessive sweating, rapid heartbeat and other symptoms. Pathogenesis: (1) The oral mucosa is mainly moistened and nourished by saliva secreted by three pairs of salivary glands: parotid gland, submandibular gland and sublingual gland, and the secretory function of these three pairs of salivary glands is innervated by the cervical sympathetic nerve; (2) When the cervical intervertebral disc degeneration and vertebral bone hyperplasia, especially the cervical dura, posterior longitudinal ligament, small joint, cervical nerve root, vertebral artery and other tissues are compressed by lesions or traumatic inflammation, the cervical sympathetic nerve can be stimulated and a series of symptoms of dry mouth and tongue can occur. A series of orofacial symptoms may occur.
