Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection is manifested as follows: in the first stage, mild upper respiratory tract infection with mild fever and cough; in the second stage, mild bronchopneumonia with dry cough and rapid superficial breathing; in the third stage, heavy pneumonia with shortness of breath and persistent high fever; and in the fourth stage, recovery after treatment.
