Novel coronavirus infectious pneumonia is contagious and there is no effective vaccine or preventive drug available, only behavioral prevention. Going outside should be minimized, and medical masks or N95 masks must be worn when going outside. Be sure to wash your hands after returning home from an outing, before eating, after touching animals, and after coughing or sneezing, and use running water as well as soap or hand sanitizer when washing your hands for 20 seconds or more. Do not eat or trade wild animals. Seek medical attention if symptoms such as fever, malaise, or dry cough occur.
