What kind of medicine is used for a child’s hot cough?

Children with febrile coughs, coughing up yellow sputum, and individually with fever, may be seen more often in pediatric clinics. Physical examination reveals a deep red tongue with a yellowish or thick yellow tongue coating. The first step in management is to determine whether the infection is viral or bacterial, or whether it is Mycoplasma pneumoniae. In fact, children within three years of age with an early viral infection should not be rushed to give antibiotics; if the cough is more than four to five days old and the sputum becomes more frequent, antibiotics can be considered. The antibiotic of choice is azithromycin or cephalosporin antibiotics, or you can take Anki pellets, using one is better. It is better to do a routine blood test and IgM measurement of Mycoplasma pneumoniae. In the experience of using proprietary Chinese medicine or herbal medicine, do not use too bitter medicine under three years old, you can give Spironolactone or Xiao Chai Hu granules or fishy grass granules. Older than three years old can choose one of the following: Pediatric Cough Relief Oral Liquid, Pu Di Lan Anti-inflammatory Oral Liquid, Chai Yin Oral Liquid, Blue Scutellaria Oral Liquid, Jin Lian Qing Fever Tablets, Yin Pu Detoxification Tablets, etc. You should also drink more warm water and juice in moderation.
