How to read the free 6 thyroid report

The free 6 thyroid report generally includes 3 hormone indicators and 3 antibody indicators, which mainly look at the specific values to determine whether the patient has thyroid disease.
The 3 hormone indicators are mostly thyrotropin (TSH), free thyroxine (FT4), free triiodothyronine (FT3), which can be used to check whether the thyroid function is normal or not, and whether there is hyper- or hypothyroidism.
If TSH is markedly low and FT4 and FT3 are markedly elevated, and the patient has symptoms such as excessive sweating, irritability, and lethargy, this may indicate the presence of hyperthyroidism. If TSH is significantly elevated and FT4 and FT3 are significantly lowered, accompanied by symptoms such as emotional indifference, facial edema, and weight gain, it may suggest the presence of hypothyroidism.
Three antibody indicators are thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPOAb), thyroglobulin antibody (TGAb) and thyrotropin receptor antibody (TRAb), which are positive for autoimmune thyroid disease and can also reflect the severity of the disease.
If the above indicators are abnormal, it is recommended to consult a doctor in a timely manner, and under the guidance of the doctor, complete the relevant examinations to identify the cause of the disease and standardize the treatment.
