What are the benefits of full breast cancer management?

The whole management of breast cancer starts from the diagnosis of the disease. The whole management of breast cancer should be a multidisciplinary and comprehensive treatment from the diagnosis of breast cancer to the whole course of breast cancer treatment. In terms of metastatic breast cancer management, both domestic and international data have shown that the management of metastatic breast cancer can further improve the treatment and prognosis of metastatic breast cancer. Many studies have been done in China and abroad on the management of metastatic breast cancer with maintenance therapy as the core. The CSCO data in China have supported that after the benefit of capecitabine-based combination chemotherapy, the follow-up of capecitabine monotherapy can improve the quality of life of breast cancer patients and prolong their survival. Patients on maintenance therapy have longer progression-free survival compared to those on no maintenance therapy. I personally think that there should be some education and training for physicians and patients on the concept of total management. For physicians, they should have this concept of total management and the concept of multidisciplinary integrated treatment. From the time a patient is diagnosed, whether it is recurrent metastasis or early stage breast cancer, they should have this concept and follow up the whole process and focus on the standardization of treatment. For patients, they should be told what adverse reactions may occur when taking medication, and that they should go to the doctor after having adverse reactions, and not to interrupt the treatment by themselves, which may affect the effect of medication. Reviewing the current situation and looking forward to the future of total management Nowadays, more and more experts at home and abroad accept the concept of maintenance therapy. The core of total management is maintenance therapy. Nowadays, many breast cancer patients are able to benefit from the whole management and maintenance therapy. As mentioned earlier in the meeting, some patients are definitely benefited from chemotherapy, and some of those benefited from chemotherapy are benefited from maintenance chemotherapy. It should be said that maintenance therapy and total management is an effective strategy for the treatment of metastatic breast cancer. For patients, through this management model, their quality of life can be maximized and their survival can be maximized.
