Will low grade squamous lesions of the cervix heal on their own?

Low-grade squamous lesions of the cervix will not heal on their own if they are cancerous. If they are hyperplastic, this is not yet cancerous, but precancerous. Low grade squamous intraepithelial lesions can usually be left untreated first, sometimes the cervix has the ability to heal itself. It is recommended to check further for HPV infection, which increases the risk of developing cervical cancer. It is recommended that they can be reviewed in 3-6 months and about 60%-70% can regress spontaneously. Whether the low-grade squamous lesion is hyperplasia or cancer or something else, it needs to be diagnosed differently by the doctor at the hospital and treated according to the cause. If the cytology is highly squamous intraepithelial lesion (HSIL) should be treated, cryotherapy and laser treatment can be used if colposcopy is satisfactory, and cervical conization is recommended if colposcopy is not satisfactory.
