How should anal sinusitis be treated?

The diagnosis of anal sinusitis is usually made by anorectal diagnosis and anoscopy by an experienced doctor, so it is best to treat it under the guidance of a doctor. The typical treatment for sinusitis is a combination of anti-inflammatory, Chinese herbal medicine (or proprietary Chinese medicine) baths, and intra-anal local plugs. For anti-inflammatory treatment, oral antibiotics are generally sufficient. However, it is worth mentioning that many of the patients who came to me had previously been treated in primary care units or community outpatient clinics with long, simple infusions of anti-infective treatment, but the results were not obvious.
