Now there are many hospital surgeries, the doctor is busy and tired, the discharge may not give you a clear explanation, please see this article and follow up on time! Our group’s dressing changes are generally like this: 1. 4-7 days after surgery, when you are discharged from the hospital, only the gauze at the ear canal is changed, there is no external dressing, only a cotton ball is filled and changed every 2 hours to facilitate the drainage of exudate from the surgical cavity through siphoning; 2. 2. 2 weeks after surgery, the majority or all of the in-ear filling is removed, or the iodoform gauze is backfilled, or the wound is left open; 3. The first one or two days, there will be more exudate outflow, please pay attention to just wipe the exudate outflow, don’t clean it by yourself internally; 4, after that, we will check the wound every 1-3 days, and it will be basically healed after a week. So, please have erythromycin eye ointment on hand! Need to clarify with the patient friends: I (we) sincerely hope that everyone can not only dry ear, but also hearing improvement, but also please understand that we make 100% efforts, there are still individuals with poor results, then what to do? I would like to say, give us time and opportunity and we will do our best to get your ears back to the best they can be. This is my ideal, and the ideal of every doctor in our group. Guidance for discharge rehabilitation of patients with otitis media: 1. Do not engage in strenuous activities and stay in hot places to prevent displacement of the auditory bone in the ear and prevent sweating so that the chance of infection in the operative cavity increases; 2. Prevent colds and keep the eustachian tube open; 3. Generally do not pinch the nose and drum to prevent the new eardrum from being broken again before it heals firmly; 4. Use nasal drops to keep the eustachian tube usually (see my other articles for how to use them); 5. Longer, sufficient amount of effective use of antibiotics, may be discharged with drugs, short-term continued static drip; 6, increased secretions, smelly, severe pain timely review; 7, come to the hospital on time to change medication.
