General fever into pneumonia need a few days to reduce the fever

In general, fever caused by pneumonia can be reduced by infusion therapy for about 3-5 days, and some patients with severe disease or drug resistance may need about 2 weeks or even longer. Pneumonia is mainly caused by infection by pathogenic microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses. The substances produced by the metabolism or lysis of these pathogenic microorganisms can act on the thermoregulatory center and thus cause fever, therefore, the pathogenic microorganisms causing pneumonia need to be killed before the fever can be reduced. Also, patients need to use sensitive drugs to kill pathogenic microorganisms, so treatment with sensitive drugs for infecting pathogenic microorganisms can reduce fever in about 3-5 days, while fever caused by infection with drug-resistant pathogenic microorganisms may take longer to reduce fever. If the patient has fever caused by pneumonia, it is recommended to go to the hospital respiratory department for treatment in a timely manner. Do not use antibiotic treatment on your own to avoid causing drug resistance, while physical cooling such as alcohol wiping can be taken.
