What is aviation otitis media?

With the development of transportation, the number of people traveling by airplane has increased, and aviation otitis media is a kind of middle ear air pressure injury that occurs when descending by airplane. Aviation otitis media occurs when the body moves from high to low as the airplane descends from high altitude, causing the tympanic membrane in the ear canal to move inward due to increased external air pressure. Its main manifestations are discomfort in the ear, swelling or distension in both ears, and tinnitus and vertigo. The cause is different, but the rest is the same as oozing otitis media.
