I. Initial consultation
The girl and her mother came to our hospital. The girl’s mother described that half a month ago, she happened to find pimples and papules on her forehead, and the girl reported that she had no pain or itchiness and did not take any medication or other treatment measures, but came to our hospital for examination and treatment because the pimples and papules on her forehead had not subsided. After detailed questioning, we learned that the girl had not suffered from any other diseases before, and that she had received the vaccinations required by the state on time and had no history of drug allergy.
II. Treatment history
I told the girl and her mother that the bad phenomenon on her forehead was caused by acne and that medication should be taken to prevent the inflammation in the lesions from spreading and making the condition more serious. I prescribed two topical medications for the girl, erythromycin isotretinoin gel and norfloxacin cream, both of which have anti-inflammatory properties and can stop and destroy the inflammation in the sebaceous glands of the forehead follicles, while erythromycin isotretinoin gel can also assist in hindering the keratinization of the skin at the lesions, thus better treating the disease.
III. Treatment effect
On the 3rd day of medication, the mother brought the girl to the outpatient clinic for a follow-up examination. During the examination, it was found that the acne, papules and pustules on the girl’s forehead had decreased compared with those before treatment, and the girl had no other adverse symptoms. On the 10th day of medication, the girl’s forehead pimples, papules and pustules had subsided, her mental state was good, her diet and bowel movements were normal, and her condition had been cured, so I stopped the medication.
Precautions
1, the girl’s forehead acne, papules, pustules are receding, the condition is cured, I feel very happy in my heart. During the treatment period, I repeatedly advised the girl’s mother to apply the medication on time and in the right amount, so as to facilitate the improvement of her condition and shorten the course of the disease.
2, adjust the girl’s daily diet, let the girl eat more carrots, lettuce, bananas, eggs, soy milk, pork and other highly nutritious, easy to digest diet, and a light diet, less too sweet, spicy food, to avoid improper eating habits and make the disease recurrence.
3, in addition, should also keep the girl’s forehead skin clean, daily use of mild, non-stimulating toiletries.
V. Personal insight
In this case, the 10-year-old girl’s acne was not very serious, and after appropriate treatment, the condition was cured and there were no obvious scars on her forehead. Acne is a relatively common disease, most often found in adolescents, which often affects their own skin, with skin papules, acne, pustules and other symptoms as the main manifestation.
