Fracture of the left lower leg several levels of disability

The disability level for a fractured left calf is generally not too high, except for one condition, of course. If the blood supply is lost after the fracture of the lower leg and the lower leg has to be amputated eventually, the disability level is higher, about 5 or 6. However, if surgery is performed and the left lower leg is successfully preserved, the disability level is usually not too high. If the fracture heals well after surgery, the disability level is about 9 or 10. If the fracture of the left calf is not treated surgically, but simply by external fixation in a cast, the disability level may not be determined. Therefore, the final level of disability depends on the function and recovery of the fractured calf.
