Abdominal pain epilepsy is different from acute abdominal disease. Abdominal pain epilepsy is recurrent paroxysmal abdominal pain, often accompanied by a certain degree of impaired consciousness during seizures, and may have a family history, and the EEG shows abnormal epileptiform discharges, and anticonvulsant treatment is more effective, while acute abdominal disease has no history of recurrent seizures, no impaired consciousness during abdominal pain seizures, and no family history or EEG changes. The acute abdomen is characterized by persistent abdominal pain with paroxysmal increase, accompanied by abdominal muscle tension, abdominal pressure and rebound pain. It is often accompanied by fever and high fever and increased white blood cells, and treatment with anticonvulsant drugs is ineffective.
