Frozen shoulder is a common joint disease among middle-aged and elderly people. The onset of the disease is mainly characterized by severe pain in the shoulder joint and significant limitation of activities. Traditional treatments such as massage, infrared radiation and acupuncture are effective but slow and take a long time. Many patients are aware of the importance of joint exercises, but due to the obvious pain, they are mostly unable to persist. Intra-articular cavity compression injection is a new treatment modality specifically designed for cases of frozen shoulder, especially in cases of severe adhesions (i.e., significant restriction of shoulder joint movement). By injecting a special fluid into the joint cavity under pressure, it can bluntly separate and loosen the adhesions, and provide anti-inflammation and analgesia. It has been proven in a large number of clinical cases that intra-articular pressure injection is safe and effective, and is a good method for treating the traditional persistent frozen shoulder, which can quickly relieve the patient’s pain.
