How long can you live with bile reflux gastritis?

Biliary reflux gastritis is generally less symptomatic and has little impact on life expectancy. If the symptoms are severe and complicated by other serious diseases, such as gastric cancer, it may affect the survival time, but there is no clear clinical time point on how long one can live. Biliary reflux gastritis that lasts for a short period of time can manifest as mild belching and discomfort in the upper abdomen, which can be relieved by drugs that neutralize the bile and protect the gastric mucosa, along with dietary modifications, which generally do not affect life expectancy. If bile reflux gastritis lasts for a long time, with nausea and vomiting, and is complicated by esophagitis and gastric ulcer, the quality of life may be affected at this time. If it is complicated by a malignant tumor of the stomach, the disease progresses rapidly and may affect life expectancy. Therefore, if bile reflux gastritis is diagnosed, it is recommended to actively treat it, pay attention to emotional stability in life, regulate the diet to be light and easy to digest, eat less and more meals, and avoid overeating.
