Ovarian cysts usually become malignant in a few years

Although most ovarian cysts are benign in clinical practice, there is still a chance of malignancy. Firstly, if ovarian cysts increase rapidly within a short period of time and are found to have bilateral ovarian masses, solid echogenicity or low obstructive flow signals under ultrasound detection, it suggests the possibility of malignancy, while ovarian cysts that remain unchanged for a long time have little chance of malignancy. Secondly, whether it is a common ovarian cyst or an ovarian cyst due to endometriosis, there is generally not much chance of malignancy, but that does not mean there is none. The majority of malignant ovarian tumors are derived from ovarian cysts, so as soon as a patient is diagnosed with a pathological ovarian cyst, they should be operated on as soon as possible to prevent malignancy from occurring.
