It can occur in children of all ages, and is especially common in children aged 1-6 years. The incidence is much higher in urban children than in rural areas. Apart from loss of appetite, children generally have no other obvious discomfort. If the disease is prolonged, it can lead to deficiency of qi and blood biochemistry and decrease the ability to resist disease, which can easily lead to other diseases, or even affect growth and development into noma. In the ancient literature of TCM, there is no name for anorexia in children, but the literature states that “not thinking about food”, “not hungry, not satisfied”, “evil food”, etc. “The manifestations of such diseases are similar to this disease. 1, prevention (1) master the correct feeding methods, diet and living on time, moderate, correct the wanton eating paste and thick taste, drinking cold and sweet food, partial snacking, delusional tonic bad habits. According to different ages to give rich nutrition, easy to digest, a variety of food. Breastfed infants should gradually add complementary foods after 4 months of age. (2) When symptoms of loss of appetite appear, we should promptly identify the cause and take targeted treatment measures. For those who have just recovered after illness, gradually increase the diet, do not overeat and cause re-injury to the spleen and stomach. (3) pay attention to spiritual care, cultivate a good character, educate children to follow the good advice, do not reprimand and scold, change the living environment to guide the gradual adaptation, to prevent frightened and irritated injury. 2, conditioning (1) to develop good dietary habits, to achieve “milk is expensive sometimes, food is expensive,” the diet is regular and appropriate, meat and vegetables, not forced to eat, do not eat candy and drinks before meals, less fat, sweet and thick, cold and hard and other indigestible food, encourage more vegetables and coarse grains.
