How to read the ultrasound report of hepatic hemangioma

Hepatic hemangioma is a common benign tumor of the liver. It is usually diagnosed more often by ultrasound because it is also a non-invasive, more economical and convenient test. Hepatic hemangioma is generally described as a hyperechoic signal on the ultrasound report form, and the border is basically clear and the surface envelope is intact. If the hepatic hemangioma is small, for example, less than 3 cm, it may not be typical. At this time, ultrasound examination alone cannot fully confirm the diagnosis, and further liver enhancement CT or MRI examination is needed to differentiate it from early hepatocellular carcinoma or hepatic adenoma. If the hepatic hemangioma is relatively small, it may not need treatment for the time being. If the diameter of hepatic hemangioma is larger than 5cm, surgery or interventional treatment can be considered.
