A subversive understanding of coronary heart disease

Cardiovascular disease is the major disease that threatens people’s life and health today. From the ranking of causes of death in China, it is known that death from heart disease has surpassed stroke and tumor as the first cause of death. However, the research and prevention of cardiovascular diseases have been relatively neglected for many years, and the incidence of sudden death has a tendency to gradually increase. Nowadays, there has been a great shift in the understanding of the symptoms, epidemiology, and clinical prognosis of coronary heart disease. First, is chest pain necessarily coronary heart disease? 1.Pay attention to the onset condition: angina often occurs during labor, exertion, emotional excitement, bowel movements, exertion and other increases in myocardial oxygen consumption, while chest pain due to non-angina often occurs at rest and leisure. 2, pay attention to the duration of pain: angina pectoris generally lasts no more than 15 minutes and can be relieved by itself after stopping activities or taking nitroglycerin under the tongue, while chest discomfort due to non-angina pectoris often lasts several hours or even a whole day. 3, pay attention to the nature of chest pain: angina is not a painful sensation, but a crush-like boredom, distension or indescribable discomfort in the precordial region. The chest pain caused by non-angina is manifested as pain, lightning-like pain, stabbing pain (intercostal neuralgia), etc. 4. Pay attention to the site of chest pain: the discomfort site in angina is in the lower part of the sternum, about the size of the palm of the hand, and may radiate to the left scapula and the side of the little finger, and some patients may show toothache and tightness in the throat. The performance of non-anginal patients is variable, and the pain can appear in the left precordial area like a pinpoint area, and it can be left for a while and then right for a while, and the location is often not fixed. 5, pay attention to the symptoms accompanying chest pain: angina pectoris often appears at the onset of general weakness, cold sweat, palpitations, and in severe cases, blood pressure drops, shortness of breath, and a sense of imminent death. Non-angina patients can have no obvious systemic symptoms during the onset of chest pain. Second, young people, women and thin people are not easy to get coronary heart disease? It is generally believed that coronary heart disease and hypertension are diseases of the elderly, and young people are not associated with cardiovascular disease. Studies have found that the proportion of young people under 40 years old with coronary heart disease is increasing year by year, and it is not uncommon to see young people in their 20s with coronary heart disease in clinical practice. The study also found that women have a lower risk of coronary heart disease than men before menopause, and a significantly higher risk of coronary heart disease after menopause, even catching up with or surpassing men, and the prognosis is not as good as that of male patients. In terms of hypertension, the prevalence rate has reached 8% among primary and secondary school students aged 6 to 18 in China alone. Therefore, for young people with a family history of hypertension and coronary heart disease, blood pressure should be measured regularly, especially after the age of 40 should be an annual physical examination; life should pay attention to quit smoking and limit alcohol, low salt and low fat diet. Third, the greater the amount of exercise, the better? Modern people, especially office workers, often use the computer, no time to exercise, or sitting on the mahjong table for a long time, occasionally a little relaxation time will run to the gym, or a breath of climbing to the top of the mountain, thinking that this is good for the body. I do not know that this is more harmful. This type of people due to long-term work tension, physical overdraft, disease has crept in, once the intense exercise beyond the body’s ability to withstand, the possibility of accidents greatly increased. After exercise panting, sweating, obviously feel tired, and even have dizziness and other discomfort, indicating that the exercise is too much. The target heart rate for exercise: no more than (160 – age).
