Is acne on the back because of heavy dampness?

Acne on the back, or acne, is usually not directly related to heavy dampness. Acne on the back is called acne in Western medicine. The main condition for its formation is that the area has a large number of follicular sebaceous glands, and the causes of its formation include Propionibacterium acnes infection, endocrine disorders, blockage of hair follicles and pores, and abnormal keratinization of the hair follicle opening, which are inflammatory manifestations. It is usually caused by the patient’s frequent late nights, excessive fatigue, decreased immune function and endocrine dysfunction, and is not directly related to heavy dampness. Patients with acne can apply topical anti-inflammatory creams such as fusidic acid ointment and clindamycin phosphorylate gel, and if necessary, oral antibiotics for anti-inflammatory treatment. In addition, patients are advised to adjust their living habits, avoid staying up late, avoid spicy and stimulating foods and foods high in sugar and fat, bathe regularly, keep the area clean, and frequently change and wash the clothes, sheets and bedding that come in contact with the back.
