How long does it usually take for a red scar to fade

Usually, it takes at least 1-3 months for the red marks of scars to fade. The easiest way to remove the red marks, which are usually left after the inflammation of the scar has subsided, is to use medications to remove the red marks, such as Xylitol or cumene ointment, scar removal cream, etc. After the use of such medications, the red marks can usually fade to a cleaner level gradually, usually within 1-3 months. It is also recommended that patients with scarred red marks should strictly protect themselves from the sun, choosing physical sun protection as the main option, such as wearing sunshades, hats, masks and sun protective clothing. Patients should also not stay too much by the windows at home and by the balcony, because the glass can only block short-wave UV rays, but not long-wave UV rays. Since skin repair time is mainly between 10:00 pm and 5:00 am at night, patients are advised to avoid staying up late, eat a healthy diet, ensure a happy mood and get enough sleep.
