There are two main types of surgery for kidney tumors: radical nephrectomy and surgery for preserving renal units, the former takes one month and the latter takes 2-3 months to be able to have sex, and you should follow the doctor’s instructions. 1. Surgery to preserve kidney unit: it means complete removal of the tumor and perinephric fat tissue around the tumor, and suturing of the remaining kidney tissue. After suturing, the wound surface is bigger than the former one, and the risk of rebleeding is high, so it is not recommended to do strenuous exercise in a short time, and generally speaking, sex is allowed only after the wound surface has basically recovered completely in about 2-3 months after the surgery.
