The presence of U-shaped pressure marks on the fetal neck during ultrasonography indicates that the fetus has a 1-week cord winding. Cord winding is a relatively common phenomenon during pregnancy, with 1 week around the neck being the most common. It is associated with a long umbilical cord, excessive amniotic fluid, frequent fetal movements, and a relatively small fetus. The fetal neck examination shows a U-shaped pressure mark that needs to be taken seriously by pregnant women, and the treatment differs according to the degree of cord encirclement: 1. Pregnant women need to monitor fetal movement, normal fetal movement is usually 3-5 times / hour, found too much or too little fetal movement, should promptly go to the hospital for examination; 2, the umbilical cord is too tight: may be abnormal fetal movement, fetal distress. During delivery, the umbilical cord becomes relatively short due to the fetal cord wrapping around the neck, which will affect the fetal entry into the pelvis, resulting in prolonged or stalled labor. When the umbilical cord is stretched and the placenta is detached, the pregnant woman may feel severe abdominal pain, bleeding and even shock. Pregnant women need to strengthen routine monitoring of the fetus. If the fetus develops intrauterine hypoxia, pregnant women need to administer oxygen and change the position, and if it cannot be relieved, they may need to follow medical advice to terminate the pregnancy in time.
