OBJECTIVE: To investigate the method of ultrasound examination of female genital tract developmental abnormalities and its clinical application value. METHODS: We retrospectively analyzed 84 cases of female genital tract abnormalities confirmed by surgical pathology, and analyzed the method and accuracy of ultrasound examination. RESULTS: (1) The diagnosis rate of female genital tract malformation by ultrasound was 94.05% (79/84), and the confirmation rate was 75.00% (63/84); the 84 cases of female genital tract malformation were classified into 4 types, and their diagnosis rates varied; (2) ultrasound-supervised vaginal, cervical and uterine cavity exploration was more helpful in confirming the diagnosis. Conclusion: Ultrasonography is a good method for preoperative diagnosis of female genital tract developmental abnormalities, and close cooperation between ultrasonographers and clinicians may be more helpful for diagnosis and treatment. According to the different processes of female internal genital anomalies, this paper classifies female genital tract anomalies into 4 types. Type I (obstructed normal duct formation): 16 cases in this paper, including 7 cases of hymenal atresia, 5 cases of partial vaginal atresia, 2 cases of transverse vaginal septum, and 2 cases of cervical atresia; 2. Type II (paramedian duct hypoplasia): 12 cases in this paper, including 3 cases without uterus and vagina, 3 cases of uterine hypoplasia, and 6 cases of primordial uterus; 3. Type III (paramedian duct fusion disorder): 43 cases in this paper. Type IV (complex type): the presence of two or more malformations of types I-III is called complex type. 13 cases were reported in this paper, including 7 cases of stump-angle uterus, 1 case of double uterus combined with vaginal diastasis, 1 case of saddle-shaped uterus combined with transverse vaginal diastasis, 2 cases of double uterus combined with vaginal diastasis, 1 case of double uterus One case of double uterus combined with left cervical hypoplasia, and one case of double uterus combined with no vagina.
