What kind of mindset do the stars fighting cancer have?

Oncology patients often have sad faces, but there is no shortage of optimistic and open-minded ones, the contrast is very sharp, the anxious ones often feel incredible when they see the calm ones, how can they still have such a heart in the face of such a big hurdle. In fact, everyone has the opportunity to be happier, but it mainly depends on the attitude of life. Oncology patients are a special social group during the illness and recovery period, but they should not be a special group forever. Returning to society and living and working as much as possible like healthy people is the ultimate goal of oncology rehabilitation. In the early 1990s, a famous writer used a new term in a report literature – “anti-cancer stars”, and since then this new term started to circulate widely in the society. Some people have investigated these stars and found that although each star has different types of cancer and different treatment methods, they all have one thing in common, that is, they all have an optimistic and good attitude. Guo Fa, 76 years old, is a cancer-fighting star of Beijing Cancer Rehabilitation Society. He was diagnosed with stage III gastric cancer (hypofractionated adenocarcinoma) in hospital in January 1997 and underwent radical gastric cancer surgery (removal of four-fifths of his stomach) at the end of February of the same year. A year later, liver metastasis was found and confirmed by liver puncture pathology biopsy: hypofractionated adenocarcinoma. The doctor performed resection of liver metastases. After that, during the follow-up consultation, the doctor found that 2 more masses had grown in the right lobe of his liver. Later, through Chinese medicine treatment, together with optimistic attitude, reasonable diet and proper exercise, Guo has been living a healthy life for more than 7 years now, and all the masses in the right lobe of his liver have disappeared. The most important task for tumor patients is to establish the confidence to fight against the disease. The new medical model especially emphasizes the active participation of patients. In the rehabilitation of tumor patients, optimistic attitude, scientific treatment, reasonable diet and proper exercise are all important, and optimistic attitude should be ranked first. So, how to maintain an optimistic mind and good emotion? First, actively receive the necessary psychological treatment and seek the help of a psychologist as early as possible. Secondly, we should learn to face the disease positively, face the reality, fully explore our own potential, and do a good job of self-psychological regulation. Consciously adjust some bad bias in your personality, such as too introverted personality, etc. You should often carry out self-psychological stress reduction and reasonable catharsis, including confiding in friends and family members and doing some relaxation training (such as deep breathing). Thirdly, participate in the group activities of rehabilitation organizations such as Recovery Paradise with the purpose of fighting cancer scientifically, which is an effective group psychological rehabilitation treatment mode. Fourthly, after the disease, shift the excitement of the brain as soon as possible and avoid closing oneself, such as developing some new interests or hobbies. If cancer patients return to society, do some work and participate in some social activities, it is not only good for physical recovery, but also good for psychological recovery. A cancer rehabilitation group in Shanghai has launched an initiative to participate in social work, and they have taken the lead in organically linking rehabilitation with dedication and carrying out health and public welfare activities. The special contribution made by this special social group of tumor patients has produced good repercussions in the society and also reflected the value of tumor patients returning to the society from one side. To work, tumor patients should follow the principle of “moderate work when conditions allow” and consult the doctor in charge when they are not sure. Because moderate work can be a good prescription, but if it is not handled properly, it can also bring the opposite result. The change of medical model and the exploration of the road of cancer rehabilitation with Chinese characteristics have led to the emergence of the Cancer Rehabilitation Organization. The mission of this organization is to scientifically guide and assist patients in cancer rehabilitation. Unlike other disease groups, oncology patients have many psychological problems and are in greater need of humanistic care and communication with people, which cannot be replaced by hospital treatment and family warmth. It can be said that participating in the activities of rehabilitation organizations is an important element for oncology patients to return to society.
