The significance and role of tumor marker tests

In order to cooperate with clinicians to have a satisfactory result in the diagnosis and treatment of tumor diseases, laboratory diagnosis of tumor diseases needs to be recommended. The method is tumor immunology test. Tumor immunology test is to detect tumor-specific or related tumor markers by immunological methods to achieve early screening, auxiliary diagnosis and prognosis assessment. Therefore, tumor immunology test is getting more and more attention. Tumor markers are chemical substances that reflect the presence of tumors. They either do not exist in normal human tissues but are only found in embryonic tissues, or their content in tumor tissues greatly exceeds that in normal tissues. Their existence or quantitative changes can suggest the nature of tumors and lend to the understanding of tumor histogenesis, cell differentiation, and cell function to help diagnosis, classification, prognosis judgment, and treatment guidance of tumors.
