A revolutionary breakthrough in the treatment of chicken breast Chicken breast orthopedic

Excessive forward elevation of the sternum is called pectus carinatum (pigeon chest), which is a common thoracic deformity that has the opposite appearance of a funnel chest. Although there are no specific symptoms and it does not cause any pain to the patient. However, as it grows older, it affects the appearance of the chest, and to some extent, it can cause inconvenience and distress to the patient. In addition to that, the severe condition can also cause diseases such as breathing suffering and even cardiac arrhythmia due to the loss of softness of the sternum. The original treatment for pectus excavatum was mainly surgical removal of multiple rib cartilages on both sides or the use of subcutaneous Nuss steel plates to compress the augmented sternum, both of which are surgical treatments, and the latter still requires another surgery to remove the plates after 2-3 years, causing some surgical pain to the patient. Nowadays, a newly designed orthopedic device from North America has gradually become the first-line treatment alternative to surgery for the treatment of pectus excavatum after many years of clinical application, providing patients with a pain-free, risk-free, postoperative scar-free and easy-to-accept treatment option. During my study in the United States, I was exposed to and felt the great superiority of this treatment modality at the Children’s Hospital of Washington University in STL University, so I hope to introduce this latest non-invasive treatment modality to China and bring good news to Chinese patients with pectus excavatum.
