Symptoms of Damp Heat and Dampness

Dampness, heat and dampness can manifest in different ways depending on the area of invasion. Dampness trapped in the spleen may be characterized by distension, stuffiness and pain in the stomach and abdomen, low intake of food, nausea and vomiting, heavy limbs (weakness and heaviness of the limbs), and loose stools. Those with Damp-Heat in the Liver and Gallbladder mostly show distension and pain in the right side of the ribs, bitter taste in the mouth and nausea. If Damp-Heat in the Liver and Gallbladder is injected downwards (Dampness and Heat invade the intestines, bladder, pubic area and lower limbs), men may have manifestations of itching in the scrotum, distension, heat and pain in the testicles, and women may have symptoms of yellowish smelling leukorrhea and itching in the pubic area. Damp-heat in the large intestine is characterized by abdominal pain, frequent bowel movements, yellowish thin soupy stools, burning pain in the anus after bowel movement, accompanied by thirst and fever. If dampness-heat attacks the bladder, there will be urinary urgency, frequent urination, painful urination, as well as abdominal distension, lumbago, blood in the urine and other symptoms. If uncomfortable symptoms occur, please seek medical treatment in time to avoid delaying the condition.
