Drug-induced thrombocytopenia generally refers to pharmacologic thrombocytopenia. For drug-induced thrombocytopenia, the first step is to stop the use of the suspected drugs and choose the treatment modes such as drug therapy, blood transfusion and plasma exchange according to the condition.
1. Discontinuation of suspected drugs: Drug-induced thrombocytopenia is mainly caused by analgesics, antibacterial agents, anticancer agents, antimalarial agents, etc. Once drug-induced thrombocytopenia occurs, all suspected drugs should be discontinued immediately. For those who are not suitable to stop the drugs due to the need of the condition, they can choose the drugs whose molecular structure has nothing to do with the original drugs to continue the treatment.
2. Drug therapy: For patients with bleeding manifestations, phenol sulfonyl ethylamine, vitamin C and other hemostatic drugs can be used as prescribed by the doctor. If the condition is serious, hormonal drugs such as prednisone, dexamethasone and hydrocortisone can be used to inhibit the formation of platelet antibodies.
3. Blood transfusion: for visceral bleeding or platelets <10×10^9/L, platelet concentrate should be input in time. In critical cases, plasma exchange can also be used to remove anti-platelet antibodies in the patient's body.
Drug thrombocytopenia, the patient should consult the doctor in time, and actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment. At the same time, they should avoid strenuous exercise and confrontational sports in daily life.
