Radical treatment of sigmoid colon cancer

The traditional methods for radical treatment of sigmoid colon cancer include open surgery, which is more classical in terms of radical treatment. Nowadays, there are two types of laparoscopic surgery: one is to remove the tumor laparoscopically, with a 2-3 cm incision in the abdomen, and to remove the tumor specimen for reconstruction of the digestive tract. The other is the NOSES surgery, which is a tumor removal surgery through the natural lumen. After this surgery, the tumor specimen is removed through the distal rectal and anal digestive tracts, and the digestive tract is reconstructed laparoscopically to achieve a perfect surgical procedure without an incision in the abdomen.
