How do I choose a blepharoplasty procedure?

There are many ways to perform blepharoplasty, but it is not easy to do it in a beautiful and natural way, so I will share some of my experiences with you: 1. This procedure is suitable for young patients with a single lid who do not have lax upper lid skin or excessive fat. The advantages are that the procedure is simple, can be corrected with an incision if the result is not good, has little postoperative swelling, quick recovery, and no incision scarring. The disadvantages are that it doesn’t last long, and some will disappear in a year or two. 2. Incision: A horizontal incision is made along the lid margin for the full length of the upper lid, the skin and orbicularis oculi muscle are incised, and a narrow strip of skin, orbicularis oculi muscle and excess intraorbital fat are removed if necessary. The dermis at the lower edge of the skin incision is sutured to the levator aponeurosis or lid plate to form the eyelid. This procedure is suitable for most young people and older patients with lax skin and excess fat on one lid. The advantages are that the procedure is performed under direct vision, with accurate operation, good surgical results, and long and firm retention. The disadvantages are significant incisional scarring and postoperative swelling, but the incisional scar is not obvious when the eyes are open and the swelling resolves with good results.
