Is “celiac disease” a disease?

”Celiac disease”: a diagnostic name often used in gynecological examinations and routine checkups, many patients are very nervous when they hear that they have celiac disease, and they seek medical advice everywhere, suffering from physical and mental exhaustion. Some doctors even associate “cervical erosion” with cervical cancer or precancerous lesions and over-treat it. In fact, the term “cervical erosion” was no longer used as a diagnostic term in Western countries more than 20 years ago, because most of the so-called “cervical erosion” is caused by hormonal changes and pregnancy, etc. It is the outward migration of the cervical columnar epithelium to the vaginal part of the cervix, making it look like an erosion. The correct name should be “cervical columnar epithelial ectopic”. The actual name is “cervical epithelium ectopic”. Therefore, there is no need to talk about “cervical erosion” to the patients. So, what kind of cervical erosion needs to be treated? If a patient is found to have celiac disease along with acute cervical inflammation or contact bleeding, he or she should go to a regular hospital for examination and, if necessary, treatment based on the findings. As a married woman, she should have cervical cytology examination (cervical smear or liquid-based smear are available) at least once a year, and those who have the condition should also be checked for high-risk HPV infection (once every 2-3 years). Even if you have “celiac disease”, you don’t need to be very nervous.
