Characteristics of nosebleeds from nasopharyngeal carcinoma

Nasopharyngeal cancer nosebleeds have the following clinical characteristics: 1. blood in retracted snot, which is a very characteristic manifestation of nasopharyngeal cancer, mainly due to the stimulation of negative pressure during retraction, resulting in the rupture of small blood vessels inside the cancer and bleeding, which is not too much. 2. in the process of radiotherapy, the stimulation of radiotherapy leads to dryness of nasal mucosa and the main body of cancer is prone to break down and bleeding, which is also often seen in the process of treatment. 3. In some patients with advanced nasopharyngeal cancer, the cancer invades the large blood vessels around the neck and causes bleeding. The amount of bleeding can be very large, and some patients may die of suffocation due to nasopharyngeal cancer invading blood vessels and bleeding.
