Pre-operative considerations for eye laser surgery

Please do not wear contact lenses for two weeks before surgery. Please take antimicrobial eye drops (e.g. Telbivitol) for 1-3 days (4 times/day x?3 days or 6 times/day x?1 day) before surgery as prescribed by your doctor. If more than two types of eye drops are used, the different eye drops should be separated by 10 minutes. Shake well before each use. Perform gaze training at home to facilitate intraoperative cooperation. Method: Lie flat on the bed, hold up a finger one foot in front of the eyes, cover one eye with the other hand, gaze for 1 minute once, repeat for 3 times for the left and right eyes. The day before surgery, please do a good job of personal hygiene, wash your hair, take a shower and cut your nails. On the day of surgery, please have a good breakfast and a light diet is recommended. On the day of surgery, please do not use cosmetics, perfume, hairspray, etc. It is forbidden to enter the operating room with volatile gases. Please turn off your cell phone before entering the operating room. Please arrive on time for your appointment. Please call in advance to inform us of any other changes to your surgery time. We will make adjustments accordingly. If you have a cold, cough or fever before surgery, you should inform the doctor and follow medical advice. Women should avoid surgery during their menstrual period as much as possible. Patients should be mentally relaxed during surgery, follow the doctor’s instructions and actively cooperate with the surgery. Do not squeeze your eyes or turn your eyes suddenly during the operation. Keep both eyes open at the same time and keep looking at the flashing light directly above you, especially during the tens of seconds of the laser scan. Please arrange for a friend or relative to accompany you to the surgery and take you home afterwards. For some surgical procedures, patients need to rest in the observation room for about 2 hours, so please be patient with your family and friends.
