Acidic and smelly leukorrhea

Under normal circumstances, the leucorrhea is white secretion without obvious odor. If the leucorrhea smells sour, it may be related to vaginitis or other organic lesions of gynecological reproductive organs, which can be further examined to clarify the cause and corresponding treatment. The reason for this is mainly sexual intercourse or contact with towels with trichomonas in public baths and swimming pools. Bacterial vaginitis: It is characterized by increased leucorrhea, which can be yellowish-green or grayish-white in color, with a distinct fishy odor, plus the vagina of women of childbearing age produces lactic acid to maintain a normal vaginal acidic environment, which can be mixed with a little sour smell, plus the taste of some patients themselves, which can lead to a somewhat sour smell. The cause is related to the long-term use of antibiotics, repeated vaginal irrigation or frequent sexual intercourse, which makes the vaginal flora dysbiosis and anaerobic bacteria proliferate, and can be judged by microscopic examination of vaginal secretions. Second, other gynecological reproductive organ lesions: if the leukorrhea is watery, large in volume, with obvious sour odor, irregular bleeding or unexplained abdominal pain, abdominal CT, epithelial cell biopsy or methotrexate test are needed to determine whether there are ovarian cysts, inflammation of fallopian tubes, cervical epithelial lesions, cervical cancer and other organic lesions for timely diagnosis and treatment to avoid delaying the disease. During the treatment of vaginitis, you should pay attention to not having intercourse, quit smoking and drinking to avoid the inflammation from lingering, pay attention to your daily hygiene habits, change your underwear regularly, choose pure cotton and breathable materials, and do not wear tight pants made of chemical fiber materials.
